• Tox injections help to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. At Hush Beauty Lab, we focus on maintaining a natural, youthful appearance. We offer a variety of different types of neurotoxins to meet your specific wants and needs.

Hush Beauty Lab offers Xeomin and Daxxify to improve the appearance of moderate to severe wrinkles and lines. We use highly skilled techniques performed by advanced practice providers to target the muscles that are causing these wrinkles and lines to occur. By relaxing these muscles, we temporarily prevent them from contracting which helps to minimize fine lines and wrinkles by smoothing out the appearance of the skin.

    FAQs

+ How long is the session for tox treatment? Approximately 20 minutes.

Your initial appointment will take closer to 30-40 minutes so that we have time to create your customized treatment plan. After that, your repeat treatments will be much quicker!

+ How long does the treatment last? Up to 2-4 months for most people.

+ How many units will I need? This varies based on the area being treated as well as your desired result, your lifestyle and your daily habits.

+ How long does it take to start working? Tox injections usually reach their peak effect on day 14 (2 weeks after being injected) although some people can start to feel them working a couple of days after their injections. After the peak effects are reached, your tox will gradually wear off over the next 2-4 months.

+ Is there any downtime? Tox injections are administered using very tiny needles with precise dosing. You may experience some tenderness or bruising at the injection site.

There is minimal downtime and most people return to their normal daily routines immediately after their tox appointment.

+ Does it hurt? We use extremely small needles that cause a tiny pin prick but other than that they are painless. We also offer modalities that can help minimize any discomfort you may experience on injection.

+ Can I wear make-up, sunscreen and skincare after my tox injections? You may use these products but AVOID applying excessive pressure.

+ Do tox injections cause any side effects? Any side effects are usually very mild and short-lasting but may include:

    - Small bumps may be visible around the injection site (these usually last about 15 minutes and should fully resolve within a few hours)

    - Some swelling and bruising may occur (although this is rare). We offer arnica cream in office to help reduce bruising.

    - Some people experience headaches or flu-like symptoms after tox injections. You can take over-the-counter pain-relieving medications (such as Tylenol) as needed.

    - Most side effects are mild and short-lived but there is always a small risk that you may experience something more serious. If you experience trouble swallowing, muscle weakness, difficulty breathing or speaking – you need to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

+ Is there anything I need to avoid after tox treatments?

    - Be careful not to rub the areas that were injected – we place the medication very precisely and if the area is rubbed it can displace the tox and cause it to spread to other areas.

    - Avoid strenuous exercise, heat/sweating, lying down within 4 hours of your injections, pressure/rubbing on the areas treated. These can lead to increased blood flow or direct pressure – either of which can displace the tox, causing it to potentially weaken other muscles nearby. See post treatment guidelines for more information.

+ Can I get tox injections while I am pregnant or breastfeeding? No – you should not receive tox while you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

+ How much filler will I need?

This varies based on the area(s) being treated as well as your desired result. We

experience something more serious. If you experience any concerning symptoms,

contact your advanced practice provider immediately.

+ Can I get filler injections while I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

  • This minimally-invasive treatment is one of our favorite ways to improve the look and

feel of your skin. The microneedling device consists of very tiny, shallow needles that

creates hundreds of invisible puncture wounds on the top layer of this skin. After your

treatment, these micro-wounds stimulate your body to create new collagen and elastin

(hello, glowing skin!) which plumps up the skin and minimizes texture/scarring.

    - Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles

    - Treats sun damage/hyperpigmentation

    - Softens acne scarring

    - Reduces pigment

    - Smooths out uneven texture

Want to maximize your microneedling session? Boost your treatment results and speed
